Falling Leaves Vinyls

Using them as a stencil is difficult, and takes some tries to get to work correctly. It's a lot easier to use the leaves as a sticker, although I'd recommend at least two top coats to make sure they don't stick up on the edges. I had the most success using them as stickers if I applied them BEFORE the polish was completely dry (at about half the time I usually set for being dry) so it was slightly tacky when I put them on, then two top coats after that. I'm still working to get them to come out good as a stencil, but another review recommended a thinner polish so I'm going to try that next. If you use a thicker polish they don't quite look right. (Using a silver OPI polish two of the leaves came out okay but the smallest is a bit of a blob. Luxy by ORLY didn't work at all, they're vaguely leaf shapes blobs.) I'm glad these aren't my first nail vinyls, so I know it's just user error and now how all vinyls come out.

The vinyls were a pleasure to use and are perfect for fall. easy to apply and remove and in a variety of placements so I could pick different configurations easily.

I want to start by saying I absolute love these vinyl's. Now it did take me some playing with to really get how they work. I even resorted to using them as stickers and still the corners would stick up so that was a fail also. I've learned from reading thru the comments on here that if you are going to use Gel use tweezers to pull item off of sheet lay FLAT on the nail cut edges if you need lay a thin coat cure and then another thin coat to desired color. Regular polish just the same step but you have to remove immediately and use a fast dry too coat. I'm so so so happy. Because im not an artist. So I have been able to add this as a service to my menu

My nails are relatively small in length, but other vinyls I've tried have been very sticky, as well and would easily lose adhesive, therefore causing the polish to leak through. I'm not a fan, but maybe these individual nail whaped vinyls just don't work for me.

These are really hard to use. Every way I pulled them ruined them, and leaves bled together. tbh you are better off just using the leaves like stickers over a light color.

I tried multiple applications, peeling the the vinyls in different directions each time to see what was best, putting on a thin coat for the design. However each time it still melded together when I took them off.

Fall is my favorite season - so I HAD to get these to celebrate Thanksgiving. I used a sparkly orange nailpolish on the bottom and a dark red (deep, dark red) for the leaves. They came out great! A whole bunch of people asked me quot,where I got my nails donequot, -- which to me is the biggest compliment whenever I do my own nails! You need to have a good, thin nail polish for these -- nothing too thick and goopy. It needs to get into all the nooks and crannies -- especially for the little leaves, since the stem is a little bit small. Also, make sure you press these down ALL the way for a full, seal. If you leave a corner up, your leaves might bleed a little and you get stuck with a... quot,leaf-ishquot, shape. (This happened to two of mine because I got a little lazy! I was able to fix up the leaves with some touch up brushes though.) If you have little nails (my pinkies are a bit thin) I would recommending doing two of the three leaves. The vinyls that I got were a light baby blue/greenish color. I like using both the vinyls and the decals - so when I take off the orange/red, I will do a shimmery white layer and then use the green/blue leaves as decals. This is just my second time with nail vinyls. I tried the easy cyclones earlier, and got a good result. These ones are even easier; they don't require tweezers to peel up from the sheet because they have a handy tab. This also make it very easy to place and remove them! I have ultra short nails (I do massage so I can't grow them) and this design worked well for me. For someone with really long nails, they might not get a whole nail covered with one. This design does have some small details and I found it best to use a very smooth polish (no glitter) to get a nice effect.
